Man Joel,

What a truly well written piece. It made me miss Bart's even more. I remember doing a set there one night with Billy Gardell and we had just finished working at the Castle. It was an awesome exercise every time I did a set there. That night was no exception. Good luck with the new project and I hope to see you there some night soon.

As I read through the article I wonder would Joel even mention my stage time at Club Barts? Nope not a word...sucks to be out of the popular Comedy Loop. Still a great article about a great room for years, it was as Joel has described a great room to get familiar with the good, bad & ugly of Comedy. Joel and Corey were great to keep it going all these years. I remember seeing some of the best and worst sets of comedy there. Bart & Todd were always gracious and giving to comedians who took the time to take on the room and its unique enviroment. I learned it was Ok to interact with an audience @ Barts & it has helped me considerably with my act. Thanks Barts, sorry I couldn't make the final show but I'm as sure as always, it was an experience. Best of luck Todd and Bart and thanks for...yes, letting me perform on your stage as well as soo many other great comics as mentioned by Joel.

PJ! You know, sometimes you just can't remember everything, and alot of those things I either wasn't there for, or my mind chose to forget.

Based upon how that article flowed outta me I could probably write an article that size every day and not run out of good stories.

Good to know you have some memorable moments, too, Peej.

Damn. Joel. You really did love that place. (I always knoew you were a little unbalanced) And this was a fitting tribute except for a couple glaring omissions..."I'm a funny mothafucka" himself...Jay Kimm. bad blood or not he deserves his due. he kept it afloat/killed it before you took the reigns. And Frank Turner right off his sex scandal and Ridley "letting him do" Bart's. And the infamous Denise explosion before a show. (somehow I ended up taking the brunt for Corey's callous comments.) And Skippy from Family Ties flying in to do a coupla shows and run up a porn tab. Whatever it was, it was always something else. My favorite memory, Corey melting down and mooning the crowd as he died a slow death - while his mother watched from the crowd. Now to find a Bart's down here in Charleston and continue my rebirth...I'll call ya in 3 years when I move on again.
